 Tournaments
The first tournament was organized in 1997 by club
members. It attracted many players of widely diverse levels, and was
great fun. This is why we have made it a point to organize tournaments
every year thereafter. They have continued to attract a game-loving
crowd and have been a great opportunity to develop our skills.
In 2003, for the first time two tournaments were
organized in the same year, thanks to our sponsors and committed
members.
In 2006, we palyed a match in Luwero with a team of
secondary school students, who had been coached by some Peace Corps
volunteers. It was a hot day, but great fun for all.
Our last tournament was played in February 2008 in
Lubowa, at the ISU Campus. We hosted 5 teams from Uganda, and one
from Kenya. The event was a great success, to which we all contributed.
Our club was the winner – yeah! , but more importantly,
everyone had great fun.
We have many players from Kenya who join us for our
7Hills Classic, and would love to host teams from further abroad.
Of course, our dream is to welcome teams from anywhere
in the world, but for that, we still need to improve our game and
develop our network. Until then, come play with us!
